Kitchen Fixation: July

The handheld citrus press is the most intense handheld vice (I've ever used) purely for the removal of every last droplet of citrus. It's wonderful and totally worth it. It also strains the seeds, and the pulp gets squished so much that it doesn't really come out, so there's no need for additional straining.

I used it when I made these Lemon Ricotta Cookies, and when I needed to brighten the flavor in this easy freezer jam and when I made these Raspberry filled Lemon cupcakes.

I got this type of citrus reamer years ago but rarely use it since the citrus press came into my life. Do you have one of these?

  1. I like this option because it's easy to use & clean. I have a electric juicer & I only use it when I have a lot to juice, otherwise, I am using a fork. Can you recommend a brand or store that has the best one?
    Thanks!

    1. Hi KK, if you click the link above it should take you to William's Sonoma website, but I know places like Bed Bath & Beyond and Target also have these types of citrus presses. Hope that helps!

  2. I'm ready to eat the blueberry dessert right now! Was this the new bush that you found? I love your site Trisha. Love, Dad

    1. Thanks Dad! Yes, the blueberries came from a new bush that we found by the pond- there are 2 next to each other!
