The rom-com look

You know what look I'm talking about. It's the look that all those cute characters that Julia Roberts/Drew Barrymore/Reese Witherspoon are so famous for (and many other actresses too). I'm calling it the "Rom-Com look" because it's sweet, adorable, mysterious and endearing (am I talking about the makeup or the movies.....?).

I know the focus this week is on Valentine's Day but I think this look is pretty, romantic and a polished look to wear every day, whether you're in a relationship or not. Wear it to work, wear it on a date, wear it at the grocery store- you cannot go wrong with this look.

So, how do you get the look? I'm glad you asked:

Eyes: Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette will give you a soft, subtle smokey eye that'll give just a hint of mystery. For eyeliner, like this Maybelline one, a thin liquid black liner is always a good idea. As for lashes, this L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara should give you lush lashes that will really take off (pun intended). 

Cheeks: Nars Orgasm Blush. Really, do I need to say anything else about this? Ok fine, it's a pretty pinky/peachy blush with just a hint of shimmer to make the cheeks look flushed (it's all in the name folks).

Lips: MAC's Please Me Lipstick is such a pretty shade of pink that all skin tones would really look fabulous in it.

I wear a basic version of this look everyday and I really believe my life is a romantic comedy. Ha!!
