My Mom has been making German Chocolate cake for years now- it's a family favorite & a blue ribbon prize winner! When I had a customer request this into a cupcake, I was a little nervous- sometimes cake recipes don't translate into the best cupcakes. However, no issues to report, and they turned out great! As a side note though, I still prefer the cake version b/c you get 3 layers of this wonderful coconut & pecan topping, whereas a cupcake only gets one layer.
